raison d'eter
What is happening to patriotism?
For a great many years Israel's public schools taught Tanach -The 5 Books of Moses. Today, the Tanach is a stranger to the majority of Israel's youth. The Tanach, among other things, demonstrates the tie to the land of the Children of Israel. Without this knowledge Jewish Zionism is a dim dream.
In the USA, many of our public schools no longer teach about America so as to instill a spirit of patriotism. When I went to public school we would, for example, pledge allegiance to the flag every single day. Nowadays, it is customary to teach our children that nationality is no so important.
Israel and U.S. policies involving most educational venues is resulting in a gradual diminution of a national raison d'eter. Without emphasis on our history the nation instinct fades.
When citizens are not married to their homeland it is not difficult for aliens to subvert the nation. It becomes even easier for our people to not fight for their country and easier still to trash the homeland.
Both the USA and Israel as well as much of Europe are feeling the affects of the malaise created by the "don't care" attitude. Soon much of Europe will be controlled by an alien group that has little in common with the rest of the citizens.
