CLINTON: EVIDENCE SAYS IRAN WANTS NUCLEAR BOMB
Hillary Clinton Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday reiterated concerns about Iran's nuclear intentions, suggesting that evidence pointed to Iran seeking nuclear weapons, The New York Times reported. Clinton offered a list of Iranian actions that contradict the regime's claims of peaceful intent, including the disclosure last year of a hitherto secret nuclear facility on a Revolutionary Guard base near Qum. "You have to ask yourself: why are they doing this?" Clinton said. Referring to Iran's insistence that it is not seeking nuclear weapons, she said, "The evidence doesn't support that." Clinton's comments on Iran's nuclear ambitions came a day after she warned of the growing power of Revolutionary Guard, saying, "Iran is moving toward a military dictatorship." Last week, Iran said it had begun enriching uranium to a higher level-a key step toward achieving a nuclear weapons capability.
