Seventy years later, a new White Paper.

Attempting to appease Arabs who had been attacking Jews and rioting throughout Palestine during the late 1930s, Britain, the Mandatory Power, issued a cruel policy statement - a "White Paper" - in 1939.

Britain restricted the number of Jews allowed to immigrate to Palestine, who were desperately trying to escape the Nazis, to 75,000 spread over five years, after which time no Jews would be allowed to immigrate (without Arab approval); the White Paper also prohibited Jews from buying land in Palestine. This directly violated the purpose and conditions of the Mandate and condemned millions of Jews trapped in European savagery.

Despite this draconian "law", however, many Jews were smuggled illegally into Palestine, a rescue mission that became a defining symbol in Israel's (and Jewish) history.

Seventy years later, President Barack Obama has issued a new "White Paper" against Jewish settlements.

Directed only against Jews, Obama's policy is clearly anti-Semitic and blatantly discriminatory. He does not even mention the issues of incitement and terrorism officially sponsored by the Palestinian Authority and most Arab and Muslim countries. Jihadism is not on his agenda; Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria (the "West Bank") are his obsession.

Obama has no effective policy on the on-going atrocities in Sudan, Somalia or other Muslim countries that oppress and slaughter their own populations. Israeli Jews are in his crosshairs.

He cannot and will not prevent North Korea and Iran from pursuing their nuclear ambitions. He can't secure Pakistan. He is determined, however, to defeat Israeli Jews.

This is an issue that strikes at the heart of American values and ideals - as well as common sense. No American political leader has enunciated and carried out a policy intended to destroy the State of Israel, the direction Obama's policies surely lead.

No American President would dare violate basic American interests - the support of the only democracy in the entire region. And no American President would retreat from the battle against terrorism.

Obama's White Paper against the Jews, like that of the British in 1939, is a sign of moral depravity, not only because it means Jews will be murdered, but because it contradicts fundamental American beliefs in human rights. If Obama would subject his policies to review by Congress or the Supreme Court, he would be ridiculed, not because he doesn't have the Constitutional right to make such policies, but because what he proposes violates values embodied in the Constitution.

Obama's anti-Israel policy, unlike those of some of his predecessors, like Jimmy Carter, lacks even the pretense of "even-handedness" - the code words for "punish Israel" - since there is no reciprocity. Israel has nothing to gain and everything to lose. Obama's anti-Israel policies are un-American because they are unfair.

Obama's anti-Israel policies are un-American because Israel is America's only reliable ally in the entire region. A danger to American interests, Obama's policies should be of deep concern to Americans, not because they put Israel at risk, but because they damage America.

Obama does not speak for most Americans. Eventually, and hopefully soon, America will wake to the tragedy that is taking place. The sad truth is that this country will never be the same, it's been tarnished. The founding principles of the this once great democracy are being trashed and the country being pushed into the abyss of socialism. America , please wake up to the tyranny, not just for Israel but for yourself.

A man as Obama comes only once a century. He has done more in 5 months than any leader in history, plus, he has made major decisions that no man has ever made before. His policies may work well for your region. Time will tell. However, critics are worldwide attacking this gentle man for endevoring to stablize the region and get people talking. Our world has become more complex by the day and no one man can be all things to all people. He cannot have all the answers for Somolia, Sudan or North Korea. He is human and understands that compromises must be made in order for there to be peace. All must make tough choices in the near future. Israel was given it's homeland, but the Palastinians need a place that they can call home too. Obama understands the plight of the Jews and Palastinians, he realizes the dangerous condition of the region. He is doing his best, lets be patient. Kev

I guarantee you are wrong, I think that Obama is a ravening wolf posing as a Messiah except his messianism is based upon a faulty humanism. At best he is a deceived individual trying to do good at worst he is a muslim Manchurian Candidate. Even at best, he is going to lead the middle east down a path of cataclysmic conflagration, through his mindless and blind appeasement of groups who in private will only mock his attempts and in the end turn and devour Israel.I suspect him of being the worst thing to happen to world and to America since its founding.Time will tell, the clock is ticking, tick tock

It could very well be that Obama is the current patsy meant to destroy the USA from within.

He has no real ties to the elite, therefore, his demise would be of little consequence to the real 'players' except to initiate martial law, internal confusion, conflict, and, the end of the "free" USA as we know it.

Taking out this president, and perhaps even his family (G-d forbid) has potential to cause more racial division between blacks & whites (and between moslems & xtians?)than anything since the civil war.

In fact, it could lead to planned civil war, which would indeed make conquering, and reconstructing America ... way too easy!

Just a thought.

Obama's policies will result in great damage to America, even possibly to the destruction of the US as a free western state. Obama, even more than his predecessors, completely ignores the threat of jihadism to his own country. Instead of standing up to the radical Muslims, he is appeasing them in all possible ways, in the name of multiculturalism. He is determined to lead the US toward the end in which England now finds itself.

Thank you, Moshe Dann, for writing this excellent article.

I knew the president was evil, however, I certainly underestimated his ability to con so many...although I don't know why because he certainly conned the majority of Americans who voted. Or did he?

I refer to ACORN when I write that his election was "fixed".

I also do not believe he was American-born which means he is not legally our (the American people's) president.

Barry is a 'pretender to the throne' and he is giving aid & comfort to our enemies. It is no coincidence that Jimmy Carter wil be "visitig" Israel soon.

The Islamists must be laughing hysterically as both the curent USA president and a former USA president are doing their bidding.

I am feeling like a Jew in 1939 Germany!
