MILWAUKEE PRIDE
Milwaukee Museum to Feature Dead Sea Scrolls
Reported: 14:15 PM - Oct/01/09
(IsraelNN.com) In its largest temporary exhibit ever produced, the Milwaukee Public Museum will feature the Dead Sea scrolls in an exhibit early next year. More than 160 artifacts, illustrated manuscripts, landscape and aerial photography and interactive displays will be featured. In addition, the exhibit will showcase the history of Israel during the time the scrolls were written.
The 2,000-year-old Scrolls were discovered in caves between 1947 and 1956. The "Dead Sea Scrolls and the Bible: Ancient Artifacts, Timeless Treasures" opens in January.
